Travelling Comfortably With Us

We want travelling with Wanderbus to be as easy as possible for everyone. Here’s what to expect on board, and what we can and can’t help with.

Getting on and off

All our buses have a low-floor entrance, and our drivers will always give you time to board and alight at your own pace. They are unable to help with bags or shopping, or to assist passengers away from the bus.

Wheelchairs

We’re unable to carry passengers who need to stay in their wheelchair while travelling. If you can transfer to one of our seats, a folded wheelchair can travel with you, space permitting. For wheelchair-accessible transport, please contact Link-A-Ride on 01525 840511.

Walking aids and luggage

There’s room on board for walking frames, small shopping trolleys and folded pushchairs.

Assistance dogs

Assistance dogs travel free on all our scheduled services. We’re unable to carry other dogs.

Travelling with a carer

If your concessionary pass entitles you to a companion, your carer can travel with you.

Oxygen

Passengers who rely on oxygen may bring small canisters on board.

Seatbelts

Every seat has a seatbelt, and we ask everyone to wear one while the bus is moving.

Not sure if Wanderbus is right for you?

Give us a call on 0300 123 3023. The phone is usually answered between 9am and 3pm on weekdays, and we’re always happy to talk it through.
